Some justice at least, but read this thread from the Owls forum. What a horrible bunch of dirty Yorkshire b******s.

Hope they continue to struggle and Sheff Utd stay in the Prem. Weds and their nasty little racist are made for each other.

If the boot was on the other foot that's exactly what people on this site would be saying.

I know a owls fan, very different view to those on their messageboard. Probably because he’s lived around Mansfield and is pretty sensible (do those work together?!).

He thought it was believable that FF said that and said if he did he deserved banning. He also said he’s not playing at the moment anyway so won’t be that big a miss for them?

I think that anyone who read the judges summing up of the reasons for acquittal would have a different view to the Owls fans.

He stated that he believed Pearce's version of events and thought he was guilty as charged. Unfortunately the standards of proof were such that without a supporting witness, he had to find not guilty but made it plain that he thought he was.

The player should think himself fortunate that he was acquitted in the criminal court and leave it at that.

Correct he’s been cleared in a court of law regardless of what we think , the FA /EFL yet again have gone down the road of we must be seen to be doing something potentially ending the players career in this country .

Y

If the EFL/FA applied criminal standards of proof to disciplinary matters, I doubt anyone would ever be found guilty.

By his own admissions in court, The player admitted insulting Pearce but denied his comments were racist and those insults were sufficient to breach the code of conduct under which he was charged.

Why all the fuss then?

Jimmy Saville was never convicted in a court of law, perhaps you think he's should have his knighthood reinstated.
Forestieri did it, it's not the first time either. The FA, EFL and individual clubs have to be able to discipline players, we have just sacked one ourselves, should he be reinstated?

He (FF) was found not Guilty in a English court of Law ..unless new evidence has been submitted he’s not guilty I’m not defending him but that’s the law End Of.

Dont need PROOF. Balance of probability applies, if you believe that absolute proof is necessary do you think Donahue should be reinstated?

John Terry and Louis Suarez were also sanctioned under the same code.

The court couldn't provide it, but you obviously can.

'Forestieri did it, it's not the first time either.'

You're very sure of this. Why?

The Donahue situation has nothing to do with this.
That bridge is yet to be crossed. He may well be proved innocent.

Because he has been found guilty twice and punished + the judges comments left no room for debate.
In the context of your stance on the validity of internal enquiries the Donahue situation is EXACTLY the same. Again, do you think he should be reinstated.?

Just because he's been to court and found guilty in the past, doesn't automatically
mean he should always be found guilty when he goes to court.

We'll have to wait and see, won't we...... yawn......

You clearly cant back up your point so continually avoid or deflect a very simple question, "we'll see" is invariably the reply of someone who has lost an argument. I'd bet you would argue that OJ Simpson didn't do it.

The judge's comment in his summing up at the criminal trial may have had some bearing on the FA charge being brought

“I have to accept that it is possible, albeit in my judgement unlikely, that Mr Pearce was mistaken and therefore I cannot be satisfied to a criminal standard that the word ‘n****r’ was used and I therefore find Mr Forestieri not guilty as charged.”
