Should be pretty straight forward. Its not even a foul let alone a booking or red card. Disgraceful antics from their player.

The opposition player should be banned for this disgraceful behaviour.

Perhaps having watched that, some of our fans will give Mr Dempster a bit of slack about indiscipline in the team.

That is an absolute disgrace if a decision and embarrassing from their player.

Great camera angle and if we don't win the appeal the game has gone mad.

should be their player red carded for such unsporting behaviour, and the officials questioned as to what did they actually did see to award a red card

Bowman is a cheat. He should be punished for that. He knew what he was doing. By putting his head down he was hoping Sweeney would react then but because he didn't he then went to the other side of Sweeney. Shocking reaction by the cheating sod. Went down like a ton of bricks.

That sending off could have been the difference between defeat and at least a point. It came as we were getting up a good head of steam and who knows, Sweeney could even have scored from the long throw we were about to take.

It's ironic that if their player is banned for his disgraceful behaviour, our club may suffer further by third party teams gaining an advantage over a weakened Exeter in the three matches he will miss. We will gain nothing.

Cheating like that is the reason I cannot watch Premier League football anymore. We used to laugh at foreign players behaving like that in the 1980's, but that is one aspect of the game that they brought to our shores when the Prenier League was formed. Sadly these antics have crept down to our level where yellow and red cards are celebrated by opposition teams just like a scoring a goal. For me this will be the reason I eventually will stop watching football altogether.

A simple solution to this would be to hand the cheating player the three match ban if the appeal is successful.

Well the Premier League has VAR now, so this kind of cheating will no longer work, so glad a camera picked it up though, easy one to rescind, but the ref also has to be asked why he sent him off if he saw nothing!

I think VAR and the vast number of cameras trained on the action on and off the ball has actually cut down play acting and cheating in the Premier League. It does not seem as bad as lets say five years ago.
League 1 & 2 games do not have as many cameras hence players feel they can cheat and get away with it hence our misfortune on Saturday.
Any player found to be cheating in this manner when it is obvious should suffer a minimum 3 game ban. This deterrent should over a short period eradicate this from the game.
Bowman should get a 10 game ban the cheating pineapple and entry into the Rivaldo cheating hall of fame.

That’s just ridiculous, Bowman should be ashamed of himself but I’m sure he’ll be patting himself on the back for conning the ref.

The issue for me is yet another incompetent referee giving a decision for something he thought he saw rather than clearly what happrned

Good point. I certainly will. Sweeney did nothing wrong. I also applaud Sweeney for being gracious in accepting the referee's decision even though he knew it was wrong.

Think the referee should also be called to account as he quite clearly based his decision on the player feigning injury and falling to the floor and not actually witnessing an elbow

They never are Yellow.....did you see the debacle at the end of the Palace v Villa game and absolute silence from the refereeing fraternity.

most of the Exeter fans are defending Bowman saying he was violently elbowed in the stomach and that Sweeney will get an extra one game ban
