Stone will probably play tonight and this will be interesting if he does.
Agree the defence has been poor when they were saying only a week or so how they wanted to have all those clean sheets and improve on last season and it makes it all the worse.
Looking forward to White coming back but Gordon has done a great job so far and he seems, with Maynard, to be the ones that standout most of all the additions.

Stone was always going to feature tonight. The last manager lost his job for missing his target by a knats knacker, I highly doubt he will risk suspension or injury to key players for a carabao cup game. They all but said it in their interviews.

I've not checked for a while but I'm sure the selection rules are something along the lines of 6 first team players who have played in the last x amount of games must start. Could be hogwash or even the wrong competition.but allows flexibility.

Aye, it has to be a show of solidarity. Can't be seen to be dropping him.

He must have a near 100% rate for letting in pens since joining?

Being overweight makes saving pens harder.

Of the 11 penalties that have been on target by Newport and Morecambe players in the two shootouts, he’s not saved one.

Should probably have had some back bone to have dropped him for being 75 stone too heavy for a footballer then.

How many fans were jeering him tonight? Was it the majority?

His agility his second to none in fairness.

His weight causes him all sorts of issues, surprised he’s still not addressed it, or anyone at the club hasn’t.

It’s why Rochdale let him go

From the last 2/3 years I can genuinely only remember him saving the one in the first leg at Newport, from which he conceded the rebound. He’s come up against his fair share of penalties too.

The penalties that they scored were well taken, but CL was never close to saving any of them.

After not saving any penalties in the shoot out against Newport surely he managed to at least save 1 in this one? No GK is going to let 11 in a row in surely? Shame though. We never do well in penalties

Someone already mentioned in the space of about 4 minutes Conrad had the ball about 3 times.

1st time he shock his head so clearly could hear it.
2nd time turned and said something briefly (may have been a throw comment)
3rd time turned around to someone specific in the crowd sat in the lower tier and said something in a strong tone.

Can't lip read so can't quote what was said (just incase I'm putting words in his mouth).

It does like there is a massive confidence issue between the keeper and defence, needs addressing by players and management ASAP

Best off joining Freddie flintoff and co at jacamo.

It got to the point where his every touch got a reaction from the fans. Nothing ugly, more mocking and cheering.

JD did get a bit shirty about it.

IMO Logan only started tonight to save face. If he was rested and Stone did well it puts both Logan and JD in a tough spot.

To be fair to Conrad, he made two poor kicks in succession first half and didn't get close a penalty but didn't really do much else wrong tonight.

His treatment tonight was out of order.when the second goal went in ,there were "fans" shouting "get him off" etc, and the sarcastic cheering his every touch? Really?. I was more concerned about the free headers we keep giving away.
