Clapping Matt Preston

What was all that about? Sent off for an awful tackle and stopped all our momentum.

Totally agree. Pathetic all round. His performance was a disgrace today.

Not exaggerating but one of the worst decisions I have seen on a football pitch completely brainless

Couldn’t believe my eyes when he flew in studs up.

Hope he gets a heavy fine and spends some time with the under 18s.

Preston was poor today even before his mindless tackle, gives Sweeney another chance.

Maybe he just had a shocking game and made a ridiculous challenge, he had a bad game like we all do.

Maybe we should have sat in silence and turned the backs on the lad as well?

He’s still a mansfield player and played well for a great period of time, he’s earned his credits and his mistake today means folk should feel happy to clap him off should they wish to

And yet the same Quarry Laners were up in arms when Logan made 2 mistakes.

Probably the same people who clap the away fans when it's announced.

Why do people do that? It’s utterly embarrassing.

Well done to those that clapped Preston off, good in ya.

Yeah he had a mare and the challenge was daft but Christ, silence? Nah.

The defence in general is a concern, however

Preston really needs to work on this side of his game - he was already on a yellow card and should have been subbed at half time given that he usually makes one really mad challenge in a game, Yeovil home and Bury home spring to mind. In the league last season he had 12 yellows and 1 red.

I usually clap when something good happens, can those that clapped tell me what was so good to clap about when his reckless and needless challenge reduces us to 10 men at a crucial point in the game?

Think it stems from our days in the conference - clapping the 26 Hayes & Yeading fans that chipped in for a minibus

Agreed, I'd have clapped had Morecambe managed 500 or so, fair enough - but 120

Probably - if I were an away fan 2 successive trips to Mansfield wouldn't really be much to look forward to
