Had a ride out to Kings Lynn on Tuesday night to watch Kings Lynn Town play Kettering Town in their first home game in National League North. Lindon Meikle and Aaron O'Connor were both playing for Kettering with Marcus Kelly coming on as a sub. Lindon was still very lively and probably should have scored. Kings Lynn won 2-1. Michael Gash is still a handful as the big target man up front. Attendance: 1,114 (approx 150-200 Kettering fans).

Lindon set up 10 man Kettering's winner on Saturday against AFC Telford with a good breakaway attack (13m 30s)

Matt Rhead got off the mark for Billericay with an Akinde style penalty in a 3-2 win at Braintree (shudder!) (4m 15s)

That wouldn't stop him playing at a part-time level.

Alfie Potter is No 6 for Billericay. He should be able to get some good crosses in for Rheady.

Zayn Hakeem played in Bradford Park Avenue's 5-0 defeat at Curzon Ashton. He was on the bench for the 5-0 home defeat by Guiseley.

Two that I find interesting. Adi Yussuff going to league1 with Blackpool. Was always a good finisher for us, but seemed to lack stamina.

I rated Nicky Ajose, and I think he may come back to haunt us when we play Exeter.

Yussuf has sorted whatever fatigue problem he had and had a great year, including hitting 20 goals for Solihull and getting his first call up for Tanzania, earning him a move to a big club at lower-league level. Blackpool will be going places soon now that they've got rid of Oyston. I'm pleased for Adi. He always seemed like a nice lad.

Speaking of former Stags players...

Paddy Hoban was scoring in the Champions League a week or two back!

I think he would have shown his true quality if some of our players actually had passed the ball to him.

Since 2013 Ajose has played 182 league games and scored 58 goals, which equals roughly one goal every 3 and a bit games. Has also played in all 3 of Exeters league games so far this season, in all 3 he has been subbed off with Exeter having scored 0 and in all 3 they've gone on to score without him.
Wouldn't personally say that's true quality myself.

Out of all these players, I would only have Walker, Hemmings and Baptiste back. I would probably give Howkins another shot as well granted we could keep him fit.

You wouldn't take Lee Gregory back?

Alex Baptiste has picked up an achilles injury which will keep him out for a lengthy period of time. Another older player who was just looking for a last pay day?
