Weather looks good for tomorrows trip to Alfreton!

How many making the trip?

Comfortable 3-0 win for the Stags courtesy of Maynard, Hamilton & Rose.

Just bear in mind tomorrow there is a large music festival on Alfreton Road just up from the railway station with a temp set of lights. Been through there twice today, very busy all day with vehicles and concert goers.

No need to go on old road through South Normanton, just stop on A38 and get off at Cotes Park junction (B600)

Out of curiosity Forest Town Stag, if you are travelling with Old Ram Stag who is going to buy the beer? As you are the tightest pair I have ever met!!

And yes, I know I will have to get a round in when I see you both.

We’re going to pray on vulnerable people (you) to buy us both a beer!

Are they actually going to field the team that may slightly resemble our starting XI for the season? Gonna stay away if not

Already been announced that it will be two XI's I think. No manager plays their best team this early in pre-season/

Dempster said same squad as Thursday night, but players playing different combinations, eg different strike partnership, different central defensive partnership, etc.

Well yeah of course, but I thoroughly can't be arsed to go watch McGuire and an assortment of Stags U16's take on County's next local rivals

There'll be no U16s or McGuires today. However if you're unhappy that we're giving former youth prospects in Knowles, Gibbens, Law, Sinclair and Fielding a sniff of the 1st team today then you'd be best off in t'pub with your other short sighted mates youth. There are 3 high profile games to come to start formulating a starting 11 for 3rd Aug.
To give a few young lads a boost in confidence and a belief they've a chance does no harm at all.
We bemoan lack of progression from YT then when some are given a chance some say 'Cluck em, we'll never win owt with kids in the team'.

So, in the same post you're saying that we won't be playing any youth and then going on to moan about how we won't be playing any youth? Fascinating.
