Thank god fanny tranny to rovers went up.
Couldn't have stood Newport going up with their dodgey penalties and their blatant red cards going unpunished.
You've got to go there and come back, to know where you've been.

It just bloody-well means we’ve got to play the welsh crapsters twice again next season.

Will Newport be able to hang onto Flynn now?

Sat in an empty pub watching the League 2 Play Off Final between Newport County and Tranmere Rovers. The plastic Premier League fans did not bother coming in today. Very sad.....in many ways.
O'Brien was sent off two games too late!! Demetriou should also have been sent off.
Hard to take after we smashed Tranmere 3-0 at Field Mill in January but Micky Mellon seems to know what it takes to get teams promoted. Is that 4 promotions now?

The commentator said that Newport don't even have anywhere to train. That, coupled with the guts and bravery on the ball I've just witnessed from them makes our failure even more pathetic. Tiny wage bill they had as well. I was absolutely slated on here last year when I said we went for it at Yeovil because the pressure was off - the horse had bolted. They'd already blown it. I stand by that. This year underlined it. As did today's play off final.

Who would have thought, when we thumped Tranmere at our place, they'd be a division above us next season?
A great run for them, congratulations.
Newport much less of a threat than Tranmere next season.

To be fair they did have ten men for the best part of an hour.

Just watched a video of Flynn very upset at the standard of refs used and bemoaning no VAR.
Haha. On the other foot now isn't it. Sit down shurrup. We was done with worse over the semi's.

Was sad looking today at the final, it really brought home how such an epic failure flitcroft was.
Pretty much 4 out of the 5 teams which had a realistic chance of promotion gained success, apart from him.
Let’s go again next season. Let’s get that promotion the radfords deserve.

I think ‘epic failure’ would have been getting us relegated.

Pity we didn’t get the referees with a bit of bottle like those Tranmere had, 3 games and 3 opponents sent off. Oh the fine margins.

So Notts didn't have a chance or forest green or Colchester who were in and around the top 3 until we beat them.

They've been training at Cardiff City. Yesterday they trained at Brentford.

It was only after the play-off semi-finals finished that their training facility was unavailable due to some planned maintenance work on it. So they then trained at Cardiff City.

Unfortunate for Newport today. If there had been VAR, then Matt would have got the penalty after 85 minutes and Newport would probably have won.
However if we'd had VAR in the semi-finals, then O'Brien would have been sent off in the first leg after 6 minutes, and Azeez would not have got the penalty after 83 minutes of the first leg. Two tie-changing decisions. And Butler would probably have been sent off in the second leg.
