Serious question but can anyone who has been watching the youth team tell me what style of football they have been playing under Dempster's management?

Seen a few games
Passing from the back, high energy from top to bottom of chasing players down
Direct if required

Sounds good. The best teams at this level know how to mix it up. Gone are the days of the passing side or long ball side winning the league. Lincoln and Accrington from the last 2 years prove this. Hopefully Demps has this and can inspire the confidence of the squad.

In his press conference said he wants us to be attacking and also work in our set pieces, which lets face it we have been poor at defending.

Even though in the last few games set pieces cost us, especially at MK Dons......

I suspect what he means re set pieces is get a decent return from them, not often we score from corners and set pieces.
We certainly need a free kick specialist.

Apparently he intends getting players into the opponents 18 yard box
Not been used to that.

Not as straight forwards as that. We have been poor at set pieces for a while. We barely score any and nearly always look like conceding from them. Too many times this season we've given teams a free header when defending them, when you consider the amount of times our entire team is in that box it further illustrates the point.
We haven't had a certain sense of "excitement" when we get a corner since we had Luke Jones.

I'm a firm believer that you can have too many players in the box which causes confusion and can make blocking off that much easier. I'm all for bringing the tall guys back but leave at least one, if not 2, outfield ready for a quick counter attack, the opposition will cover that off we 3 of their players. I'm not being critical but can Macca offer in defence against some of the oppositions giants.

I agree a good league 2 side needs to be able to pass and keep the ball as well as be direct when required. Our problem this year was we had a weak front line who couldn't handle direct football and yet despite that we got struck in 'direct mode' for 2 months and blew a great opportunity.
I'm past caring about this style of play. I want us to challenge for promotion however it comes.

Yup, and honestly nothing wrong with that style of play either. I'd rather switch between passing it about to pinging it 40 yards if it gets results and goals. I've always said that Lincoln can drastically change their style of play effectively with two subs.
I think thats why got Davies, but instead of getting a big lump up front in January we went for Ajose and Grant

Accrington are a passing side. They very rarely smash it long although Billy Kee is very good at holding the ball up if you play the ball to his chest or feet.

Something I never liked was the Walker and CJ just weren't prepared to try and win headers. They just didn't jump or made a half arsed attempt. Essentially making sure they didn't get hurt. Shameful really when we spent so long pumping it long the last few weeks/months.

Be fair. It’s been proven that relentless heading of the football can have long-term brain detriment. CJ needs to protect his.

I think that is very unfair based on the season. There were games where you could see Walker's head was gone, normally when we were expecting him to take on a 6'4" centre half . That said, he did go for it on many occasions and actually after christmas he won a fair few none of which amounted anything whatsoever. It was the tactic that was wrong.

Walker won a great header for one of CJ's goal away at Exeter... he was capable of doing it but not ideally suited.. I cant wait for Davies to be back
