In the clubs statement chap. Said that Dempster has been appointed first team manager. Will receive 'full backing'. Terrifying.

Can we restart the cheap option thread?

Seriously though, good luck Mr Dempster.

Dempster full time

I can see it is a quiet season, claw back some funds and see how he copes with managerial life before opening the purse strings.

Hopefully he'll be backed with a budget

Interesting times ahead. You’d guess dempsters been told to bring the youth team through?
The retained list will be interesting to say the least!

I think it's the wrong decision to sack him.

I don't have any issue with appointing Dempster. Why just keep cycling through the same old crap L2 managers when we have someone in house who has been coaching successful teams.

Good luck to John Dempster and I will back him. An interesting close season coming up and I wonder what sort of budget he will get.

Some youth team players will no doubt be the back up and we will see which senior players he brings in.

I thought he should have had Dempster for the 12 games after Evans left so we will be in for an interesting ride hopefully playing good attacking football.

That is a shock.

Not sure how the "change brigade" will welcome Dempster as manager.

Agree. I just hope JD is giving the same backing our previous managers have been given.

Probably the first sign that the Radfords cannot afford to fund failure, like many on here wanted them to next season. I would not be surprised if our budget is reduced and we run more against our means.

Completely shocked at that thought DF would of been given until at least Oct but hey ho. I wonder if he would of still gone if we had got promoted?

Let’s all get behind JD and let’s go for it next season a new chapter in the JR era

Jesus Radford, fair enough sack Flitcroft but blimey this is brave. Not sure how I feel about Dempster taking the job. I'll obviously support him but when you have the likes of Clarke, Hurst that have just gone, Dempster feels like the cheap choice. Unproven.

The statement suggests that Radford is properly annoyed that we didn't manage to get the points needed with 4 games to go. Own worst enemy.

Fully behind JD, but if we dont make some decent signing season ticket sales will flop

I’m guessing we will see some youngster and hopefully a big budget to bring in some good players to help the young ones out.

I think radford will still supply a promotion budget and sorts as he won’t want to lose the momentum of the growing fan base.
