The fact that they’re getting tumescent over getting close to being half way up The Conference is absolutely hilarious

Agree that going to that dump is odd. I’d only set foot in there if we were playing.

Agreed.
And that won’t be for some while!
They’ve even popped into the top half, bless them.
They’re only 15 points behind the playoff positions - occupied by that well known club of Eastleigh

Not sure what this has got to do with this thread.

Because we compared Nolan or Maclaren for the earliest sack at the start of the season. McClaren eventually showed his failings. Sorry to have woken the divs on here.

Their season ticket prices are ridiculous. Theyve admitted they need more money. In their main stand for an adult who isn't a renewing customer it is £462!!

Serious question, do the National League give parachute payments to relegated teams to the area divisions below?

ST sales will drop through the floor now they've had the first season down there and realise they aren't going anywhere anytime soon.
Would you pay £462 for a midtable team next season?

The Blades are doing Early bird seniors season tickets for £250. And they could be in the Premiership next year.

Mate just got a Scunny season ticket for another season (potentially) in league 1 in their main stand for £360 including free programme every game and a number of other perks. Some of the Direites prices are more expensive in the NL! To be honest i am starting to have some sympathy for them. They are run by some absolute w*****s the like of which who are destroying football clubs across the land and it needs to stop now as it's getting ridiculous.
Next season they will be facing Notts County maybe or Yeovil. Torquay will be coming back up. They won't be getting out of that league any time soon and they need to accept this. Getting out of the NL is primarily about being organised and having a club that is pulling together in all directions. Chucking money at it doesn't necessarily work as Eastleigh have found out and others.
Chesterfield are a million miles away from being a harmonious club in all departments therefore all the money and signings in the world won't guarantee promotion. If they think it will they are in for a shock. The number of fans a club has doesn't equate to guaranteed success.
