Like London buses :-) No game on Sky Sports since 2005, then two come along at once!

It'll all be about 'Paul Scholes Oldham', little to do with us, but at least another chance to showcase ourselves.

Potentially be less money if it was a home match but it's away so we'd gain from it.

How is the sky tv money allocated, does the home team get a greater percentage than the away team or what?

Let's face it, Sky will be slavering over Scholes and will be desperately hoping for an Oldham win. If we're serious about going up automatic it's one of those games where we should go there and pour cold water on Sky's hard on for Scholesy.

I'll be in France for this match, but I believe that a Now TV pass is available which might allow me to stream the match from any other EU country as long as I've used Now TV previously in the UK and as long as I bought the pass in the UK beforehand.
Does anyone have any experience of this? I think it's fair to assume that Br*x*t won't happen by then (if ever - I booked the trip last year based on this assumption).

You are not able to watch sky go outside the UK. I've tried and was not able to. It would be surprising if it was a different rule for Now tv, but I have never used that, so you could be right.

It's away which I did not realise so we not lose money due to it, but what we gain is tiny - and the Lincoln game on monday will make our gate receipts lower and the TV payment not come close to it.

The Lincoln game regardless of being on TV will be a close sell out, they will bring near on 2,000 and we should have at least 5,000. Plus TV money we won’t be on a loser.

Oldham away being on TV gains more than it not being on TV.

'Plus TV money' I forgot the figure but it's tiny to televise a game at this level.

We will lose money on monday, if we have 5,000 imagine what it would have been on the Saturday, sorry but it's a clear financial disadvantage.

Good news to get another TV game and some more money.

I don't understand anyone thinking we'll lose money on the Lincoln game. The attendance will very a little smaller but the TV money will more than make up for that.

The maximum we will get for the TV is £10k.

I'm not even sure if L1/2 even directly get a fee for a game on Sky Sports, I think Accys Chairman on was having a go on twitter because it's actually put in a pot and split.

What sort of £ were you expecting for this?

I thought there was an amount split between all teams, which is the TV money people talk about as part of our income each year. That essentially buys them the rights to the games / highlights etc and to put games on live if they want.

Than an additional payment when you actually end up on TV. I've no idea how much it is, but can't imagine we'll end up worse of as a result.

From what i've found elsewhere, a Rotherham fan comment last season it was £30k for the home team and £10k for the away team, but that was League One, so not sure.

It's £10k for an away team for both the Championship and League One, so I think it's safe to assume it's the same for League Two

You do get certain payments that are TV/PREM/EFL funded, the actual amount of money receive when a game has been decided to go on Sky Sports is pathetic though, and is not enough to justify the monday night move.

Depends how you look at it... Is one game being moved and maybe costing us a few fans through the door, really a problem in the grand scheme of things when you consider how much we get overall?

From info i've just found, the following applied last season (i think):

Basic award across the EFL:
Championship – £2.084m.
League 1 – £677,000.
League 2 – £472,000.

Premier League Solidarity payment across the EFL:
Championship – £4.3m
League 1 – £645,000.
League 2 – £430,000.

So the question is, before the season starts, would we sooner have £900,000 from the EFL (which is essentially the TV money), or would we sooner not have it? I guess is a odd question because every team gets it...

I see where you're coming from conker, but they pay there money (sky i mean), so they get to do stuff like this.

I still don't think we'll be worse off. Lincoln will sell out the away end regardless and home fans will still want to attend this fixture.

They don't pay enough, that sort of money should not give them the right to force us to change our game to a monday night.
