I can't for the life of me see why anyone would want to buy a club in massive debt, that has no assets, and are staring relegation to the Non-League in the face with a possibility of getting relegated further.

They need to get a bit of realism about them. It'd take somebody seriously rich, seriously stupid, or in a best case scenario for them, a combination of both, for any takeover to happen.

Also living in the shadow of a club that has announced a major development to take place. In a city that can't support two largish clubs. Unless it would be a tax dodge/money laundering, fraudulent set up..........that's never happened there before has it
I remember a lot of cash being waved by fans at their home games in the Munto era.

They seriously need a John Radford type, a local man who is a fan with deep pockets.........and there are loads of them about :?

Don't underestimate the attraction of being "the oldest league club" has for attracting potential owners, especially those from abroad.

I'm sure that's how Hardy will be marketing Notts.

That's the likely solution, but it could also trigger their next problem?

Unless carefully chosen, the next owner could well end up being another egomaniac just like his predecessor. Someone buying the club for its name/brand may well do it just for show & bragging, almost as if brandishing their badge was like showing off a Ferrari key fob. Although in County's case the fob would be Robin (un)Reliant ;)

If they don't chose carefully they may perpetuate their problem. Trouble is, they might not have that much choice?

The uncertainty of Brexit would be yet another reason to put off potential foreign money bag buyers. Discuss.

Don't think there is a lot to discuss. The end result is thankfully given away at the end of your signature I.e. (Out soon)

To save Big Alan and ‘little alan’ the hassle of finding suitable bidders why doesn’t he put the sale of the club on Celebrity Antiques Road Trip? I look forward to the episode where Bradley Walsh puts Notts County under the hammer at an auction house in Tewkesbury. And it doesn’t get the reserve price.

Poor roach! :P

It's a harsh reality, but perhaps the best dose of humility he could receive. If they were flying high i doubt he'd spare a second to think about his actions, sadly.

As it is, he's been left high and dry like his genitalia in that Knobgate picture

At least he has learnt at least one valuable lesson in all this mess.

He only gets photographed from the waist up nowadays.

At least with County fans being so old they wont remember that this isn't the first time it's happened to them.

I do hope that Paragon gets sold and saved for the sake of the workers. County should pay them up in full and if that means the club going under then so be it.

In cases like this, it's a pity they got rid of debtors prison.

More jobs will be lost at Notts than at Paragon if they go bust.

When a league two ckub is sold it is always said by the incoming owners " we will take the club to the Championship" rarely turns out that way.

Yes but the workers at Paragon have generated a profit of at least 7 million and it's been wasted on trying to keep a football club in the league. Although I agree that most workers are innocent at both establishments, I bet the Paragon workers aren't on the type of wages as the players at County.

Paragon seems to be more than capable of being self sufficient than the football club does and I think they deserve it more morally.

They must be really suffering as when they beat us they thought they'd won the league then 2 games later they were 5 points adrift
