Remember someone waiting to go into admin (maybe Boston?) as they waited to go down and then go into admin hoping it would go off that seasons total.

Edit - the 4th Thursday in March. If a club stays up it's taken from that season which means they could still go down and if the club goes down anyway they get it taken from you the next season

Got a feeling that was Ken Bates at Leeds?

Turns out they both did the same thing the same season

Yes I did say 600 million.......

Something seriously wrong in football to allow this to happen no wonder clubs in the lower divisions go bust or struggle to survive

And when you lose the rivals we have in our pool, it becomes a lot less attractive. If that ever happens its goodnight from me.
Yes let them swim around in the NL for a while, and enjoy the likes of Chorley next year, but go bust, no I don't want that.

Wasn't a certain Steve Evans involved at Boston?

There are always teams in the National League busting a gut to replace them, Salford, Leyton Orient and Wrexham for example. But I agree local derbies bring in much needed fans.

Local derbys are the games I look forward too the most.

Let them reap in non league for a bit but hopefully not too long.

Interesting tweet on 5 live discussion with Nolan and Fletcher... they had a plan, budget for the season and let it spiral out of control

Nearly going up last season gave Hardy a false view of how easy he thought it would be to get success, as a consequence he clearly had a one season plan - his model fundamentally needed the club to go up this season, which is why he's panicked all the way through it, and now how failing has manifested in the club being on the line.

Now it is March and Hardy can now look at the league table and start panicking. For Notts County to go up they need to win every game and come through the play offs and hope by some miracle the other 17 teams who will finish below them contrive to lose to the top 7 and share points among themselves with mainly draws thus lowering the normal points threshold required to finish 7th to around 64 points, a record low.
It is possible and if you gave a Notts County fan the power to decide all the future results this season then they could finish at least 7th and we could be lower. Who's laughing now?

Today's game is the lever under the trap door to start prising it open. It is a game they must win, a draw's pretty crap for them but would suit Vale.
