Any if Carlsberg did birthdays then this was one, on my 60th.

Green scored a hat trick and then was subbed after only 59 minutes, yet only got a rating of 8 by Martin in his report. I guess this probably reflects how poor Barrow were.

Anyway, going back to the original point, yes a great way to celebrate a birthday. Oh and happy birthday.

Fourth win in a row (that run would go to 12), near the top of the league and just ran Liverpool close and there were 2,144 home fans. We now have around 5,000 turning up a ‘tater still ain’t ‘appy. Cheer up you miserable old beggar.

The only disappointing thing from that game was failing to score what would have been a record breaking 9th goal in the last 20 minutes.

No pleasing some folk.

Was my 13th birthday, was a mascot for game against barrow and one of the best days as a stags fan. Now I’m a coach with football in the community and doing the job that the coaches back on my 13th was doing. 19 today. UTS

Good luck with the coaching. It can be very rewarding watching the youngsters learn and develop. I coached athletics many moons ago.

Regarding the anniversary, a very good friend of mine is a Barrow fan. He wasn't too upset about the defeat but not impressed ( to say the least ) about the car.

Happy birthday Pete and OllertonStag!

What a fantastic game that was, and the 7-0 the year before. I wonder when, or if, we could break that record.
