Here's hoping it goes to extra time and pens and that the Welsh are thoroughly cream crackered on Sat.

Pitch looks poor already, with heavy rain forecast all day Thursday and Friday. Also said they’ve had 2 games off already this year because of the pitch being waterlogged. Doesn’t bode well really

Christ. Looks like we will definitely have Bish for the Notts game as no way will our game v Newport be playable looking at that pitch.

Light rain forecast for most of Thursday from 2pm right through to 6 am on Saturday. Hopefully the strong winds and lots of work from their ground staff will make it (sort of) playable. We will just have to adapt our playing style a bit depending on the state of the pitch on Saturday.

This pitch. Oh my gosh. Ploughed fields looked better.

Newport winning, their talking about the pitch cutting up on their forum so can't be great.

Hopefully they get the game going on Saturday though.

I’ve seen field mill look worse to be honest.

Don’t think we will ever play on a pitch as bad as the one we played on at Newport under Murray in a 1-0 loss.

Hopefully it goes to extra time and penalties that don’t finish till 4 in the morning on that pitch, whilst our lot have had their feet up all night

Top class goal from Amond. Don’t think extra time is on the cards the way Boro are playing.

What a stunner!

Boro have not got to grips with this pitch or this tie at all. Their white kits are like surrender flags that they don't want to get dirty.

And they haven’t got them dirty, somehow!

Newport were brilliant to be fair. Benning is going to have his hands full if Wilmott plays that well.

Money rolling into Newport atm with this run. Will do wonders for their club.

We've played there on a beach before and by the sound of it we will again. Can't remember how much sand was put on it t'other year but there wasn't much greenery knocking about

That pitch is nothing short of a disgrace. Hopefully the Newport players aren't bothered about the game on Saturday and will all be hoping not to get injured for the Man City game.

It has to be said they can't seem to reproduce their Cup form in the League. How many did they concede at Blunder Park on Sat?
