Newport roll call

Postby Stags 2002 » Sat Feb 02, 2019 9:41 pm

8 away games left of the season. This fixture along with Exeter and the mid week trip to Crawley are likely to be the only games left where we don't take at least 1000 on the road. The other fixtures below.

Notts County (almost 4k)
Port Vale
Northampton
Oldham
MK Dons

The boys need our support to press on and catch Lincoln. If you can....get yourself down to Wales!

Picked up a family ticket earlier and will be on the road to support the boys next Saturday. Hope to see you there!

Not been to this ground before, but looking at the weather Newport has heavy rain all week according to reports. Is it a good drainer?

Tried to book Sunday on the trains and they were £95 return from Manchester

If anyone is going anywhere near by, please message and would gladly pay petrol

Use train splitter, comes in at £62.00. Still a lot but it’s cheaper

Newport have got a heavy week before they play us with their FA Cup replay against Middlesbrough tomorrow night. Their keeper could also miss the game as his wife is due to give birth some time this week.

Pitch has been poor in recent years but not sure about this year. Shocking forecast, if it’s right it could be a problem.

It used to be a paddy field by the end of November, but was completely replaced before the start of last season. I think the ground is still shared with the rugby club - the Newport Dafodils, which isn’t good for the playing surface.

Newport are in FA cup replay action against Middlesbrough tonight. Hopefully they win tonight and when they play us on Saturday it will be a case of 'after the Lord Mayor's show'.
You've got to go there and come back, to know where you've been.

We took just over a thousand to the Cardiff in the cup last year. Obviously then it was cheaper tickets, and new ground etc, but we really should be looking at taking 4/500 to this surely?

Watching it. Pitch looks well chewed up and still raining.
