We’ve got to be really careful this month, last thing we need is Forest pulling the plug late on and a Championship side getting a bit desperate and forking out for CJ. Losing our front line at this stage could break us particularly if we don’t have time to find adequate replacements.

Think I read that we will know by the 15th about Walker

At least that would leave us enough time to replace, but really hope he stays. We want to be adding to the squad, not replacing!

Why is 15 the magic number? Is that the clause in the loan agreement?
You've got to go there and come back, to know where you've been.

It gives half the window for the loaned club to decide if they want him back or send him somewhere else and the other half of the window for the other club to try and find a replacement.
Those accustomed to privilege may feel that equality is oppression.

Just been told that Shrewsbury may now make a move for Walker. One of their strikers out for season

Playing in a League 1 relegation battle does Walkers progression no more good than trying to get Promotion from League 2. He’d get much more enjoyment staying with us too. Not worried about that, but if teams like Barnsley or Doncaster take interest at the right end of the table I’d be a bit worried.

Playing in League 1 means he'll be tested against better opposition, but in a struggling team, he may not get the link up and chances to develop as well as he is doing here. If I were Forest, I wouldn't risk upsetting his progress.

That said, if a good League 1 team came in for him, I think we'd be done for.
