Yes he's a midfielder

I think like others say he'll go with Atkinson.

He’s never played in a midfield in his life. He’s a winger/forward. Definitely not made for a midfield 3.

Wingers are midfielders James (I played there quite badly for many years  ), which is his natural position. I agree that the midfield of Elsnik, Mellis and CJ isn't balanced, I don't agree that CJ couldn't play in the attacking role of a midfield 3 with someone like Bishop holding. Sadly, Bishop is the only player of his type we have so I think he'll play Atkinson. He may even go with a front three again in a 3-4-3, but I think the loss of Bishop might prevent that. It'll be interesting what he does, Bishop is the most important player in our entire squad and at present is pretty much irreplaceable.

Chance for a couple to prove their worth now. Big chance for Atkinson, also would play Khan ahead of Elsnik.

Id like to see Atkinson play in his proper midfield position rather than at wing back... He's cool on the ball and think he'd do alright with Mellis.

We saw Atkinson in his " proper role" last season, his legs had gone and I don't expect any improvement this time around.
We have to make do without Bishop so Atkinson may get his chance.I

As for Khan or Elsnik, I would start Timi every time, Khan has been a big disappointment.

Khan has ability, you can see that from his goals and assists at Yeovil and his early games here where he was brilliant. Unfortunately his form did dip and then he got injured and has struggled to get back in to an in form side. Still feel he has got a good part to play for us. Don’t see any better time to get him back involved than Saturday in a game where we should be on the front for large parts of the game.

Khan was our best player by a mile for the first two months of the season.

Stats back it up too. Spent plenty of time out of the team and still up there having created the most chances in the league (as of a couple of weeks ago anyway).

Exactly, was saying the same Saturday evening when for some reason a few folk thought he should be dropped anyway.

Made a mistake - thankfully only a 1 game ban against Yeovil - learn lesson - move on.

Shows the quality of the guy that he apologised for it - not many footballers do

Against teams like Yeovil we need be to attacking, I think DF has been itching to get Khan back in, Elsnik and Mellis with Khan in front.

Would be suprised if Atkinson doesn't start, he was impressive when he came on 2nd half at Carlisle but i guess it would only be fair for Elsnik to play as he hasn't done much wrong when he has.
