Saturday’s Without Football

Postby I am Spartacus » Fri Nov 30, 2018 2:29 pm

As we have elected to ‘concentrate on the league’ this season it leaves a blank weekend.

So.....Mrs Spartacus has got me decorating our Roman Villa for two days.

Anyone doing anything that can beat that in the entertainment stakes???

Yes, I've just ordered a King Sized paddling pool and a tanker full of lime green jelly. Gonna phone Carolyn now to see whether she's gonna be busy this weekend. :D

Manchester last night was excellent. Insomnia played by the orchestra was spine tingling.
My ears are still ringing.

There’d be blood, guts and lime jelly all over the place when John turns up with his impressive chopper.

Glad you liked it. I was afraid it might be some kind of Nostalgia-nightmare like Moondance or one of those Ibiza revival Weekenders at Butlins. But it's not some old fart like Dave Pearce just hammering the classics. The orchestra is what made me want to go. Sasha did something like this recently but played it in a theater. Totally lost the vibe despite being quite good.

Thought about going to watch AFC if they are at home but can't find their fixture list on their website. They just need a tab on their site called "Fixtures 2018/19" that lists their forthcoming games.

Going to check the reservoy levels at Ladybower, although I might change the car's tyre pressures ready for winter conditions instead.

They are away at Morpeth.

Rainworth, Sherwood Colliery and Teversal are all at home if you fancy something local.
