players have clearly been given a few days off

Postby Martin Shaw » Wed Nov 28, 2018 5:45 pm

The players have clearly been given a few days off, until Sunday or Monday by the look of it, just as Crawley's have. A sensible move I think.

:) The timing right to do so , they have been giving it everything this season so far.
Get some mental freshness back into them so when they get back they be ready to go again.

Good call by Flitcroft, a rest definitely needed and well deserved.

Yes - good that they have been given a break. However, we need to continue the momentum when they return.

This idea of “momentum” seems to be new this season. Given how knackered and slow we looked in the second half against Lincoln, I’m happy for a break for them.

We won’t lose games because we had a few days off

We joked how knackered Bishop looked on Saturday just before the winning goal (sorry, equaliser). Looked like a walking corpse that had given everything for the badge.

Bish'll not be going shopping imo, he'll be saying to 'er indoors' that he's got to rest. :D

Shrewd move. Give the lads a few days off, come back and play in the Checkatrade trophy to get back into the swing of things then it's County on the Saturday. Then, bar the Boxing day game, we have no midweek game until the new year. Unless the Crawley game is scheduled in before the new year.
