Martin I think Lincoln would have been signing the likes of Akinde even without the Wembley visit.

who knows. My comments are based on what I was told by the Lincoln media when we were there last month.

They wanted Tyler Walker but we blew them out the water with that, Bizarre considering Akinde with the tranfer fee is obviously going to be a bigger outlay, suppose he's a proven goalscorer though.

Don’t blame him.

Looks like it. Comes with the territory when players and managers read your report. I guess Jacob Mellis would have been pretty happy if the Wolves U21 keeper Norris hadn't moved from his free kick from a similar position that was also perfectly placed into the top corner.

What a cry baby, professional footballers should not be getting upset over nothing like that.

Problem with both free kicks - Pedro's was swinging away from Logan and looked like a great top corner finish, whereas Mellis' free kick is swinging inwards - making it easier for the keeper. Quality save though.

What I found interesting on Tuesday night was the tactics DF employed to see the game out. Hamilton had come on as a sub as a Forward but he moved CJ back to wing back and put Atkinson as an extra midfielder infront of the back three which worked very well
