Not playing them in the league anytime soon, so some may want to tick field mill off their list of 92.

Not everyone is bothered about it being a competitive fixture, the moral victory of having been to all 92 grounds to watch a match is enough for some.

Decent performance, another 10k into the clubs coffers, good performances from Atkinson and Mellis which will stand them in good stead for the next game. With Lincoln beating Scunny on penalties I think that gives them 2 points, which means with one game left we are guaranteed to finish top, which brings other financial rewards to our club.

It is a competitive fixture so does count towards doing the 92.

Scunny have three points so I think to win the group we can afford a single goal defeat or better when we play them.

It ISNT a competitive fixture, so DOESNT count. If it were bookings and suspensions in this trophy would count to league bookings which it doesn’t.

Can’t argue at the £20k raised so far, that is useful funds for the club.

Just got in from the game, should have been three up in the first ten minutes, one hit bar one off the line. Looked light weight up front but midfield worked hard. Wolves are a team of good ball players and had a few chances but their goal was a sublime free kick. 2-0 up, took our foot off the gas and they began to move the ball quicker and take advantage of a series of mistakes.. We brought on Rose, Khan and CJ and they all struggled. 3mins of injury time but yet again a nervous end. We won and saw this one out though so fair play.

Just got home after the game, thought we were the better team and the competitive experience we had showed over them. They had some skilful players non more so than the lad who scored the free kick. For us most played well, thought Omari and Graham struggled. Butcher worked extremely hard. Good to win and into the next round.

Of course it’s a competitive fixture. It’s in a competition so by that very definition, it’s competitive. Bookings aren’t relevant to this. It’s a sanctioned trophy.

Stop being daft.

No games in this a competitive fixture/catergory a game, not even the final.

It’s why although we played Everton academy side in this last season, we’ve still not played them in a competitive fixture.

Irrespective, it’s another £10k in the bank for the radfrods which is pleasing

All together now

‘When Pearce goes up, to lift the Checkatrade Cup
We’ll be there, we’ll be there’

Apart from Forest Town Stag and assorted miserable bleeders!!

Oh, in case you were wondering Wembley does not charge extra for admitting hypocrites.

in martins report it says 'jordan Graham had his first competitive start' so... I think it is a competitive game

Interesting views as to whether we should attend these games or not.

I think back to when this competition was first contested. This was around 1985 when named something like The Associate Members Cup. At this time the only way that you could see a Football League team play at Wembley stadium was in the final of The FA or League Cup, although Manchester United and Liverpool had played there in the final of The European Cup too I think.

In those days there were no play off matches at the end of the season where there was the opportunity of a Wembley final. It was inconceivable that we would ever see Mansfield Town play there.

It was so exciting when the competition was conceived that an appearance under the Twin Towers awaited the finalists. That night against Wigan under the floodlights with over 9000 packed into Field Mill remains one of the most exciting games I can remember. The memory of standing in the North Stand aged nineteen, directly behind the net watching George Foster's last minute equaliser fly in still brings a tear to my eye.

In the years that followed I continued to watch our games home and away in this competition.

This competition for Third and Fourth Division teams was our competition. None of us asked for it to be hijacked by soulless Cash League youth team players who for the most part have as much chance as making a league appearance for their respective clubs as the seventy plus players that Chelsea send out on loan each season.

As much as it pains me to miss watching our first team play the only way I can protest against the current format of the competition is to not attend any matches. I would not criticise those that do attend, but have made this decision for the reasons stated and will stick by it no matter what stage we get to in the competition.

Points to play for in a cup competition.... It IS a competitive fixture, not a friendly or reserve game. Just includes young U21's
