Is it time to question the Chairman?

Postby die hirsche » Sat Oct 06, 2018 7:55 pm

Millions thrown at it, mid-table league 2.

It's nice having the money but does he know what to do with it?
i would prefer not to.

yep, time to turn on our chairman who got us out the conference and has us in the best position off the field in years.

Just when you thought you'd read it all from the "entitled", this trumps it all.

When someone with as much passion and commitment for Mansfield comes along.
Personally I don't thing that can or will happen.
He's the best man for the job and should remain as long as he wants. For all the posturing on here I dont think anyone could have done or will do a better or more conscientious job

the chairman has decisions to make, it's obvious we are going nowhere under DF but when is the right time to change management.

Would you be happy if a passionate and committed chairman took us back to non-league?
Surely at some point prior to that we would be asking questions.
i would prefer not to.

He'll be patient and give the manager a chance.

We are so lucky to have him at our club, some of our fans simply do not deserve him.

JR fires his managers in November. If Flitters is still limping along in 15th come November, then if he gets invited into JRs office he should avoid standing on the plastic sheeting.

Oh hark at the closet Manc (lives in Hampshire naturally). How'd that last gasp winner feel against the Skunks? ;)

It is JRs trainset & he sacks failing managers when he sees fit (as I said November) Flitters results pick up he stays, they don't he goes and CR being facebook mates with Flitters sister won't save him.

The debate, such as debate exists on here, is are you content with his (DFs) performance as manager so far?

At this stage the ayes have it, but he's on borrowed time Good managers make mistakes and learn from them, bad managers repeat them.

The standard of football has been a marked improvement on recent seasons. Of course its frustrating we keep missing chances but I don't think we are far off. You wanted DF sacked last season, the fact you have joined the high pitched hysterical bunch is no surprise. We were 16th under your mate Evans in Oct 17, JR will not be sacking DF any time soon.

As outrageous as this thread is, JR deserves more.

JR deserves no criticism as he is Mr MTFC
We are looking mid table now and I think he should have not been as hasty as he was in the appointment of Flopper but he has the dosh and the full say in all things Stags
County not far behind now after that awful start and this is a measure of all these dropped points

My mate Evans? Hmmm bit of artistic license there methinks, I was generally underwhelmed/embarrassed by Evans in equal measure, but prior to jumping ship he was moving us in the right direction.

Damn right I'd have sacked Flitcroft last season, never in the history of this club has a manager had such an easy task presented to him only to so royally raspberry it up. Take a team sitting in 4th, top of the current form table and crash down to 8th. That's a special kind of failure. Considering you hate Curle so much for underachieving, who managed to get to a PO Final which was lost on a bad linesman call, who had to work under bloody Haslam, I'm surprised you have such a hard on for Flitcroft.

This season like most of those bitterly disappointed by the failing of last season I thought I'd give him the benefit of the doubt and a clean slate. But while the football is quite easy on the eye, he's still making the same fundamental errors he made last season. Consider this too, had Bobby Olejnic not made a very smart save in the last minute v Carlisle we'd have tossed two points away there too.

As for the OP, anyone critical of JR needs to give their head a shake. He's not infalable, but he's the best owner this club has had by a country mile.

Yes what a great idea, let’s all undermine John Radford’s leadership and decision making. Just what we need right now.

Exactly right.

This has got to be the most rediculous thread for a very long time.

We are all disappointed but to question the chairman, who would be welcome at any club at our level with open arms, is diabolical.

If I was JR I would be deeply insulted by the original comment.

It is a ridiculous thread. Although I highly doubt JR would be insulted by it.

If he sacked the manager every time someone on here had a wobble we'd never have a manager longer than 2 weeks.
