wow, what a read. if you feel bad today, read that and you'll feel a million times better.

it also shows how far we have come while chesterfield have not stopped rotting for 3 years. yet some still persist with moaning every week! we seem like a completely new club compared to our conference days

Cracking read!

At least one factual error, when he says that they were in the second tier in the sixties, it was in the late forties.

The longer the better.
Really miffed at a couple of chaps behind me on Sat saying, 'I hope they turn it round this season and come straight back up so we can play them again, it's a great day out'.

I had to bite my lip.

I don't think any Spireite cared a chuffin cluck about us in 08 and yearned for the day out in Mansfield.

Grind them into the dirt I say, the deeper the better. Hope we never play em again.

I always have to shower when returning from t'dip.

With you on that 'tater, I wouldn't care if we never played them again.

Something I regularly point out to Cheaterfield fans at work is the fact that they have never been in the 2nd level of the league since it became a 4 tier structure - unlike Mansfield !!

Of course there is a possibility that they’ll achieve something we’ve never managed, the second tier of NON league

Apparently he's already named his team for Saturday.

No surprises there then.

If they get owt off Fylde other than a bloody good spanking they'll have done really well.

Next 5 league games not looking good for them :

Fylde (H) - 7th
Halifax (A) - 10th
Wrexham (H) - 4th
Sutton Utd (A) - 6th
Harrogate (A) - 3rd

Could be well into the bottom 4 by the time they play relegation rivals H&W in mid November.

We should concentrate on ourselves.

Can't get 3000 in the away section anymore. The stand we had last season is no longer viable to open, so all away fans go in that 'extra' section down the side we had last season. Non League bites hard

This means I think that I have been sat behind you for the last fourteen months without making the link. They were sat next to me.

Even if they do but won't come up we will be a league higher :D
:coys:
Hopefully in 2 more seasons our main local rivals will be forest
I can't see our owner not backing the manager if we get promoted and I'm sure Caroline would love the away hospitality
A lot more than bury away :D

My fellow Grumpy old Man (and brother) has a bit of knowledge (a dangerous thing) about non-league football. He says Fylde have had some cash injected into the club therefore a draw at home is a good result for the Spirites.
