Watered at half time too.

Very good for turning defenders but only if you manage to stay on your feet yourself.

I don't think anyone wants to sack the groundsman but he does have a point.

It was like a skid pan tonight. Never seen so many slipping over on a pitch in relatively mild conditions.

There is the chance to water the pitch all week. Why does it need to be wet through when a game is played? It's a serious question as I'm not sure as to why it's needed so close to a game being played. Is it a request from management so the ball zips about quicker to suit the passing game we like to employ?

It will of been watered at the managements request so the ball is more slick to suit our passing routine.

Mezski is not watering it at half time just because he feels like it.

Lots of clubs up and down the leagues do this.

OR is it a case of the players wearing the correct footwear ??? Khan slipped around three of four times in the first half but still had the same boots on for the start of the second ....

Same conditions for both teams, whilst their players did spend time on the floor it didn’t feel like they slipped as often?

Probably because they weren't attacking at the same pace as us?

Got to agree, the greasy surface to choice of footwear scenario was infuriating and could have contributed to us losing points.

CJ slipping during a vital moment to cross and Ole slipping whilst making a simple injury time clearance being a couple of potentially crucial moments.

I'd like to think that this will be something that the management need to seriously look at.

If you want to pass the ball and quickly the pitch needs to be soaking wet. Down to the players not wearing the right boots, could see a few of them had short plastic hard ground studs on

During the game v Northampton large splashes of water appeared during some tackles by both teams as if the pitch was waterlogged . Mez does a great job but last night it was like watching Bambi on ice with some players and like others have mentioned it could of cost us dearly.COYS

Far from it. We will be very well practiced by the time we play in naturally wet conditions. Players should take to it like ducks to water :D

 it’s just pathetic to have a pop at the groundsman, the pitch looks and plays incredibly well and we very rarely have any issues in the winter months where a lot of other clubs have awful pitches! Mez does a great job

I’ve spoken to Mez. Ground HAS to have around 20% moisture due to the sand etc used under it, hence the water. Management have requested the water for the passing game hence above. Basically, our players played using wrong studs, they seem to opt for the plastic moulded ones when they should go for the traditional ones. Players choice but seems they made the wrong choice
