The QLE stand will not be changed with the hotel going around it. I think she's simply talking about the new Bishop Street stand, which as we know is not imminent.

What we need to do is incorporate the dugouts into the west stand to allow the pitch to be shifted 2 or 3m toward the west stand to improve the developable area of the new bishop Street stand. This will make it a very enclosed and intimidating ground for visiting teams.
You've got to go there and come back, to know where you've been.

I agree. We would definitely need to move the pitch at least 3m towards the West Stand to give enough room for a new stand. Alternatively, we could incorporate the dugouts within the new Bishop St stand. ........... That is if it ever gets built! ;)

We are unlikely to move the pitch in the next few years having just spent a massive amount of money on it in the last couple of years.

Why, we'll be moving it 10 yards or so towards the West so a 10 yard strip will have to be prepared. In fact since the pitch was narrowed there's a fair bit to play with anyway.

The only problem I envisage in real bad weather, is we'll have a large strip down that side that cuts up and is boggy rather than the current 4-5 yard strip?

That is not going to happen... the plans are submitted, the hotel has nothing to do with either stand and has its own viewing platform...

Plans for bishop street are finally moving forward. It wont be a big grandstand but something like Salfords seated terrace and Accringtons new stand.

That sort of stand would be perfect - I think they have mentioned terraces is the plan although that might have changed.

If the Bish comes to fruition then it should be the 'away' stand. Lousy view imo as the sun is in your eyes much of a game at certain times of the year.

It will depend on demand, they might even split it.

Why don't you have the ceremony in the changing rooms and the wedding breakfast in the sandy pate. You could have your photos taken on the training pitch. Maybe the bride could wear a yellow and blue dress and Sammy the stag could be the best man?
