Chesterfield have been charged for misconduct relating to financial irregularities.

It is alleged that in allowing an external organisation, namely the CFC Football Development School Ltd, to pay the wages of former players Jake Orrell and Myles Wright whilst not fully recording the payments on its accounting records, the club breached FA Rule C1.

Chesterfield have until 17 May 2018 to respond to the charge.

This has been posted on Bob's Board by moondog who is Carson's unofficial mouthpiece on there. ;)

I don't suppose they can dock them points as they are now non league.

Could the Vanarama refuse to have them and straight down two more steps?

It's an FA charge, not football league, so as far as I am aware a points deduction could still be applied.

20 points should be enough then as it will make their first season very interesting. Possibly just enough for them to stay up but plenty to get the fans on the new managers back.

In all probability it won't be more than 3

The club that just keeps giving! A 10 point deduction would be suitable to condemn them to the conference north!

Apparently all the interviewees for the manager’s job have advised the club not to renew contracts of any player who’s contract is up

As funny as it is, I’m sure Stags made the same mistake when our kit was made by Canterbury a few years ago. A black away kit was planned & ordered & MTFC then found out that black kits weren’t allowed in the non-league.

We might have used it as a training top? Not entirely sure though.
