Does anyone know how the progress is going up at Woburn.
Last I heard the pitches were seeded and growing but surely the time of the year is wrong for that now .
Also had a look on planning applications on MDC and cannot see anything regarding hotel.
Anyone heard anything.

there was an update in Saturday's match programme on Woburn Lane. It looks like it is not appearing anywhere else, so I'll get a copy on here in a moment.

By the way, if you don't buy the matchday programme, you're missing out. It's excellent.

regarding the hotel, John Radford confirmed in his column for the matchday programme last week that a planning application has been submitted for a globally-branded hotel at One Call Stadium.

I do like the word belmer, I feel it should be a real word, but it needs no dictionary description, you just know it's derogatory!

The 3G pitch contractors arrived on site last week and the sub-base is about done stoned and rolled. We will be looking to get the base in before Xmas shutdown if we get fair weather.
The pavillion contractors start tomorrow but this is a longer project so will take time .34 weeks is the estimated time ..I have asked for regular updates on our web but matches and news down at the club takes precedence

Will there be a costa coffee machine so us who work around the town can have a drinks stop and watch the team train, or will it be closed when the 1st team are there?

I'd imagine it'll be out of bounds for the fans when the team are training. The top pitch at t'Mill is out of bounds when they're on it what with the fences and the blinds to stop folk prying.

It won't keep you all out of McDonalds at 5:00am till 6:00am every morning though will it.

I'm reffing them in a week or so and the appointment is for the stadium, I suspect it's not on the main pitch so guess it has to be on the top pitch. Not been on there in years, it used to be awful.

It's well looked after and holds up well to the punishment. At times in the past t'was better than the main pitch. Fully fenced off nowdays so there's no chance of dog crap on it.

The cost seems incredibly high! I am no expert on what these things cost - but do we think we are getting good value for money here?
For £2m we could have bought a fair few other things, such as the players that could almost guarantee a promotion or even two promotions, or a new Bishop St. stand.
I only point this out because we seem to be managing pretty well on the training front without this expensive project.
