Our right back was a machine today. Still sprinting up field and taking their players on in the 90th minute. No wonder he looked knackered walking off at the end... the guy gave everything.
Top man and was my man of match. Good SE signing.

Am I missing something? I thought he was average, especially second half. He seems to delay his pass and we lose momentum because of it. We've not had a decent right back since Luke O'Neil.

Agree with original post, MOM performance for me and good enough for a promotion push next season

Though White's distribution was poor, many passes didn't find a Stags player.
Those accustomed to privilege may feel that equality is oppression.

I think what you're missing is that our movement off the ball is still not good enough, this is why passes get delayed.
I though White was excellent yesterday personally.

Attacking wise excellent. Defensively I'm not entirely convinced. He seems to have a few clangers in him. Lost his man horribly for the first goal and nearly gifted a chance with a sloppy pass. Best we've had for a long time though.
The Stags are for life, not just for cup finals. (or Liverpool).

There were two on the back post with Bennett...

White had another very good game. As I've said on here before he's the best RB we've had for years. Yes, he makes mistakes defensively on occasions - if he didn't he would be playing at a higher level. Some people need a reality pill before they start picking holes. I agree with earlier comments that he was MOM yesterday. Also thought McDonald played well again - as he did at Yeovil. His work rate is Jamiesque

Correct Bennett was left outnumbered, not sure who the other feller ran away from though.
It was a poor goal to concede as from that position he was only ever going to drop the ball into that area & we were totally switched off.

Another thing to remember is that he's only 21 so still a few years off his peak yet.
Definitely one of my favourite players.
He's on loan with a view to a permanent deal, is there anything Peterborough can do to stop this deal going through should we want to sign him?

It was White. There were three mistakes for the goal. Shearer was caught flat footed and flapped, White was 5 yards away from his man and Bennett was out jumped at the back post. Considering the flap and the concern of Whites man getting a touch in front of him, I think it's harsh to attribute the goal as Bennetts mistake.

The first goal all came because we switched off to the short free kick on our left just in side half way. We switched off for one minute and we're duly punished.

Correct Jamie it's all about being clinical.
In the first 5 mins when they switched off and MacDonald ran through unopposed he shot tamely at the keeper

Got to agree with the original post. White was our best attacking threat and underlined how far we have come in a short space of time. As well as getting forward well his responsibility as right back saw him up against Jordan Slew who tore us a new one back in the FA Cup. Slew didn't get a sniff yesterday and was subbed.
