At least the 10 point deduction will take the knife-edge off the impending relegation.

Almost certainly not the case. I believe he hasn't got a traditional contract - it's able to be ended by either part at any time.

Am I worried? Not desperately, no.

It's only a game anyway and it certainly ain't my money at risk. Relegation is on the cards whatever; I'm really unsure what happens now (as are the remaining board members) but we've got through worse before. The fans have stepped in before and will do so again if necessary - the numbers are just a little greater now.

Interesting move by Dave Allen.
As a Director he has various legal responsibilities and at times has to put the good of the club before his own good personally. Now he's resigned he can legally look after number 1.
I wonder what his next move will be?

Dave Allen. And apparently the Banqueting suite revenue has been split from the Football Club too. Couldnt make this sort of stuff up unless we'd seen it closer to home.

£9 million he has invested.
Just think about that for a second. That's £9 million for a League Two team in effect. Nobody will pay that.

A re-boot would solve that, however a drop down many leagues and a ground share with a team like Staveley would be a consequence.

What happened here will happen there.

Allen will keep the ground and let someone else take the club off his hands for peanuts.
They will then have to service the debt AND pay extortionate rent for the ground, whilst Allen keeps the non matchday profits.
The club will then end up on the cliff edge like MTFC were before JR took over.
Whether they find a buyer before time runs out is the only question.

Don't forget, Allen kept the money from a charity day organised for Ernie Moss last season, so sentiment is not something he will give a tosh about.

Dave Allen supposedly was a Sheffield Wednesday fan. When he was involved with them, he was driven out of the club by the fans because he screwed them over with interest on his loans.
So how will he be with a club that he has no affiliation to I wonder?

When asked whether this meant the club would fold, their vice chairman replied... "I don't know. I don't think so."

They probably won't fold, so let's all enjoy the misery they're going through and long may it continue. What goes around comes around.
