What problem would that be? Almost selling out every home match?

Selling out is great but it also costs money in terms of lost gate receipts, it's why clubs build new grounds. We should have done the Bish a few seasons ago and many of us predicted the club would lose money, as they are now. Had we put a simple small stand over there in Evans/DF times when gates were good then it is quite likely the clubs outlay would have been close to being repaid. This is ignoring improved fan experience as the ground is less likely to be over-crowded. It was a no brainer 5 years ago, it remains a no brainer and I can't help but think that having a whole side empty has had a detrimental impact on the pitch too.

The "average" attendance in 18/19 was just shy of 5k, we had many gates higher including one of 7,300 in the play-offs, 7,200 v Lincoln and 6,400 against Stevenage who brought 200. It's not a new problem.

Fail to plan, plan to fail.

No it isn't, the need now is much more pressing and sadly by not doing it back then it is likely we'll be locking Stags fans out of a ground with 1,500 empty seats. From memory I think we had 4 all ticket games that season.
Nothing we can do about the past but not doing it now is just compounding the losses.
It's just a discussion Walton, it's what the board is for.
