What’s next no loud chanting?
Should be zero tolerance on drugs anywhere, Wembley way stank of it, why has football authorities allowed this to escalate?
Boring

I absolutely love taking her with me and it's something I've always hoped would happen. She loves going to the home games, we sit in the Quarry Lane End and the atmosphere is really friendly and always feels safe.
This season she's asked to go to a few away games and I'll be honest I was a little unsure about this as I know it's often a different atmosphere going to away games. She's been to Rochdale, Walsall and now Stockport this season. I've got to say at each of those games I have felt uncomfortable at times. I've regularly seen fans taking drugs (without even disguising it most of the time!), being unable to handle their beer, acting aggressively towards stewards and other fans, throwing smoke bombs etc. It's got to the point where if she's with me at an away game we just go straight to the ground from the car rather than having a walk around or a drink.
There definitely seems to be a large amounts of Stags fans that are so inconsiderate of others like the young or elderly. I know it's nothing like it was in the 70s/80s but football should be family friendly and I shouldn't have to consider stopping taking my daughter to away games because of some that are more interested in taking drugs / getting drunk / looking for trouble.

What’s boring ? That there should be a zero tolerance on drugs?

- we have had and always will have a vociferous and aggressive element to our fan base
- away games that attract large crowds will have an aggressive edge to them
- drugs are currently a part of the culture (but won't be forever)
- if and when we go up the leagues, these issues will increase
- there are wider societal issues at play
- there's probably not much that an of us can do about it
A few suggestions....
- avoid the games that you know will have that edge if you don't like it
- don't take your kids to away games
- try not to worry too much about it

Does anybody go in the home end at away games? i had a bit of a crap day with our fans at donny and wondered if sitting in the home end (being responsible) is a genuine alternative?

Our day at Donny was almost ruined but we decided to move early. We couldn't move at Walsall so had a pretty miserable experience as I've mentioned.
I've been in home ends a few times (Tickets for Troops tickets), it's not great to be honest, but if I had a youngster I'd definitely consider a home family stand. Behaviour is that bad at some games that there probably is a need for clubs to provide a family area for away supporters, maybe not possible at all grounds but should be at most. Stockport tickets on the side could have been made family tickets for example.

My point is that it's wrong to have to consider avoiding certain games or not taking my daughter because some idiots spoil it!
