Think you just made it by 2 minutes Paulstag.

Hopefully an omen for Saturday and we win 3-2 in a game no-one expects us to win.

If Hewitt isn’t fit I really don’t like our chances. Having to play Akins at wing back again, meaning Keillor-Dunn and Johnson up front together who don’t compliment each other at all, a midfield three of Boateng, Wallace and Clarke with no depth on the bench to change it when Wallace wants dragging off early yet again… it’s a really tough ask to come here and get a result with so many good players out.

I’m just counting down the days until I can watch us hopefully play with Maris AND Reed in midfield.

Both Doncaster and Gillingham have both been there this month and kept a clean sheet. This should be our aim first and foremost and see where it takes us.

My issue with this is that we are simply not good enough at trying to absorb pressure. I watched the Gillingham game against Stockport on ifollow. They just sat and sat... We cannot do that.

If it’s the same side as last night sadly it’ll be a loss.

Doncaster have a worse defence than us and managed it.

Must not lose game really.

A loss leaves us 7 points behind them, and probably 7 points behind Bradford top who are at home to Hartlepool. Like I said the other day, regardless of whether you have games in hand or not it takes some catching at this stage of the season, especially when one is against runaway leaders!

We don’t want the top 6 to start creating a gap leaving ourselves realistically fighting for 7th along with everyone down to 12th.

Took me best part of an hour to come up with that and then Paul slips in at the near post and beats me to it.
Fair play to him.

And they have a keeper with stats which are pretty similar.

Just on Pym, he cannot be blamed for last nights loss in my opinion, he conceded a goal from a penalty after giving a foul away from a one on one. If he didn’t foul him he would have scored anyway.

Not if he stood up longer and let the ball hit him, it would've been a corner. There's only ever one outcome when keepers go down at the feet of opposition players, it's about time they learned their lesson. Anthony Patterson has shown how to do it tonight. Just make yourself big and don't go down.

Pym stood his ground for as long as he could. He only commits after Appere shapes to play the ball. If he stands up for any longer Appere goes round him and puts the ball in the empty net.

It's about making the striker work for the goal. Stand your ground and make him go around you, don't make it easy by bringing him down or letting him fall over you.

It’s the same outcome either way IMO, the striker has an empty net from 10 yards or, as happened, a free shot from 12 yards.
