Stags miss out as delays over football's future go on

Postby Chadman » Tue Feb 07, 2023 5:04 pm

Despite Government promises to reform football governance and its financial woes, yet another delay has been announced to publishing a White Paper that was never really needed and possibly extending the whole process by a couple of years.

In the meantime Stags missed out on pocketing £1.8m last season from what the reforms suggest may have filtered down to them with more to miss out on this season and maybe season next too as it drags painfully on while the top clubs bask in billions.

I had a good chat with Lucy Powell, Labour's Shadow Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport today and she is now putting pressure on the Government to act.
