Last time out I went to a pub called The Castle, up the hill towards the ground from Bradford Interchange. It was like a time machine. The prices , the drinks the interior, the lot.
Also went to a bouncing pub with a Thai kitchen, not sure I could find that place again.
Neither were Mansfield pubs.but they were both fun.
Last time there were a few in the Bradford Arms
Perhaps you went in the Peacock bar on North Parade ( at the city end of Manningham Lane) which sometimes does Thai as well as Indian and other food. There are several other bars/ pubs along there although apparently the Penny Bank wasn’t letting away fans in last time.
Slightly further away is the Fighting gooseberry and the Corn Dolly ( both traditional real ale pubs) and the City Vaults in the city centre.
Loads of other independent and chain pubs. If you really want Wetherspoons there is the Turls Green on Centenary Square near the Interchange station.
