Good post that.

It's the present we should consider not past reputations! , I have seen every game Akins has played for Stags since his arrival and most of his performances in my opinion, are generally underwhelming, but the Manager keeps choosing him in front of others. I don't agree with booing a player but I can understand the frustrations of some supporters who week in and week out are non plussed at his selection and then show their displeasure...at least they haven't started booing the Manager

Is he pissed off with the crowd for expressing their opinion or pissed off that he hasn't consistently shown us what he is capable of or pissed off that he gets in the team despite his lack of form.

He would soon become a fans favourite with a few more goals, assists and less misplaced passes.

Needless to say he is not the only one but they don't get an extended run in the team.
Why on earth would he be "pissed off" because he gets in the team ?

Thought he only booed from the Sandy pate bar during a game.

He hit the hat trick Saturday...

Booed in the ground first half
Booed in the Sandy Pate at half time
Booed at home for the second half...

Outstanding.

Also think he had a decent game but we need more pace from that position on the right.

Right team for me away from home.

At home I'd expect him to be switched for swan

Well played sir.

Very impressed with every aspect of his game.

Keep him in a steady position and let him find some consistency.

Well deserved man of the match today for Lucas , but also a big well done to Wallace today stopped a certain goal and goes about his game unnoticed .

I’d say the same, many folk before the game were commenting on him shoehorning akins into the side when fit and weren’t overly positive when he was named in the side.

Only right to say well played, excellent all round play and a finish which would have been talked over again had it been on match of the day. crucially it came at a time when donny were well on top and you felt the equaliser was a matter of time.

Well played

Deserved man of the match today but also we seemed to play a little more direct and down the channels to 2 up front, got us on the front foot and to be honest Donnie played in nice little triangles but we were better than them today as we were for the away game

Lucas Akins was immense today and worked his socks off. Under rated by many but his presence is needed in this team. Well done young man.

Not sure he's underrated, surely it's undeniable that he's been really poor since joining?

Pretty great today though, hope we see more of this type of performance. Thought he got very little from the ref too as he was being shoved and had his shirt pulled repeatedly.

Sort of on topic I thought Macca when he first joined the club was really poor, for 6 months or so, but since then has been incredible and proved me wrong to no end. Hoping this happens with Lucas, signs of him coming good.

Akins is one of those players that you notice more when he isn’t in the team. Superb at holding the ball up and bringing in others. We are much poorer without him.

Always liked him unlike several people near me.He always puts a shift in and gives an outlet.Holds it up well and brings others in to play.Scored one and an assist.Only other player worthy of mom was Quinn. My opinion of course.
