Midfield ace Louis Reed is delighted to be back working under Nigel Clough at Mansfield Town and inside his first week at the club believes he has already seen enough to know Stags have a great chance of glory this season.
Barnsley-based Reed moved to Mansfield from promotion rivals Swindon Town at the end of last week to sign for Clough, who gave him his debut as a 16-year-old at Sheffield United.
His hopes of a debut were dashed at the weekend when the trip to Northampton Town was postponed, but he said: “It's been a really enjoyable first week. They are a great group of lads.
“Obviously I am back with a manager I have worked with before and the only disappointment has been not being able to play on Saturday, so I am looking forward to the weekend.

Two out you could say unexpectedly in Hawkins and Lapslie. Hartigan out for the season. So 4 out you could say.
At the beginning he said 3 in, before the outs. So you could argue we could expect up to 7 new faces in. (so another 3 in, 4 if DJ goes) Which I assume every fan would be happy with, as it finally gives us some depth, as we do get injuries, your likes of Harbottle, Gordon, Ollie Clarke, Quinn, seem to struggle with injuries or lasting a full game. We need depth, instead of square pegs in round holes, get the plumber in to fix that leak, not next doors recommended handyman who once did a good job with Aunty Sheilas radiator she couldn't tighten up once.
Me personally, young left back on loan to cover Macca, another strong cb, as Harbottle was only ever meant to come here to gain experience, and a winger come striker with a bit of height.

Then joined a club bottom of league 2 in January,
No surprise for Clough if other clubs pay more its hard to keep players.
He always runs a tight squad, keeps unhappy players to a minimum.
It also give quality over quantity
