I see Mansfield Parkrun was cancelled yesterday (if not earlier) ahead of the usual 9am event this morning (meanwhile I just ran one in minus one you softies!).

It's also about the health and safety of not just players, coaching staff etc but decisions made on fans' safety, too, travelling etc although it is rather inconsistent with the Fact the rugby is still on.

Not like it used to be in the 70s etc!

Two totally different sports. You can’t compare the two situations.

All that means is their pitch is in better shape.

The pitch is used for the England youth set up and they have spent a massive amount on it so the pitch may not freeze as hard. Premier Rugby also have a set of heated domes they hire from Nigel Felton's company (ex top level cricketer) in order to keep top flight games on

Rugby seem to play in any conditions. Good old days watching Mansfield Marksman play in thick fog and snow

Could be a blessing. Clarke should be back next week in a depleted midfield ( maybe Harbottle too) and Clough will probably know what he is doing with Johnson and be more likely to play him.

The northampton rugby game is far more important than the northampton vs mansfield game

They’ll have all the facilities to keep that on.

Rugby game on tv and opponents already travelled over from France.

Please excuse my possible naivety as I’ve only really took notice of how many postponements there are these last two seasons, as previously I went to odd games over the years, and took note of scores. Only

Surely it’s time the FA pump money into EFL clubs for better covers or possible other deterrent. I know a change of season to avoid peak winter weather is an impossibility but couldn’t the FA set a target of so many clubs per season they will help

With the amount of clubs it may mean a 10 year project

Maybe you fans have gone every week for years will tell me to just accept its part of the lower leagues modern game.

But for people like myself who suffer from bouts of depression and have a very stressful job. Look forward to the Saturday.

I’m sure I’m. Not the only one that though we turn on the news and it’s so depressing, and realise we are in tough times generally, only to have the think. “At least we have the match to look forward too”

To then realise. All the Premier matches are on still but our match is off.

I live by the 3 F’s
1. My Faith
2. Family
3. Football

And the 3rd will have to wait until 28th. Thst is if again pitch is not frozen again

So frustrating
When you think you know the answers, I change the questions

Winter breaks never realistic to avoid postponements. Waterlogged pitches can happen any time over that period and you can still get frozen pitches in March. Maybe premier clubs should set up more of a fund for lower league clubs for heaters, covers etc.

Several League Two games postponed, including Walsall.

Cheaterfield v Notts County, further pitch inspection at 1:30.

Or we move football to March-Nov.

I'd rather frequent water breaks throughout a game than a postponement.

It would kill county cricket dead if they did that. When can we get it arranged :D :D
