Proper rumour that.
Names named, none of this 'I know something you don't know' cobblers so prevalent on this forum.
Facts do not cease to exist because they are ignored.

Gillingham have probably offered him a mansion and a go on the chairman’s wife. It’ll never happen.

We cannot compete with Gillingham financially. However, does Jack Marriott live in the area? Did he buy a house near Peterborough or Derby? I was surprised to find out that he is originally from Beverley near Hull.

We don't have FFP. We have SCMP, salary cap management protocol, which is 50% of income can be spent on player wages (I think it was changed to that from 55%, could be wrong) so all they need to do is calculate a players costs for the rest of the season and then invest via sponsorship etc double than amount.

Sorry. Especially as this lad seems to get quite a bit right but no truth in this rumour. No bid for Marriott.
Must say it struck me as a bit too similar to DJ in style of player and we all know how that worked out.
