Managed to get a dig in about the Radfords only being bothered about what happens on the pitch and not off it when talking about other clubs he'd been at, saying the Vale chairwoman was the only one he'd worked under who cared about what happens on and off the pitch.

Wonder if he ever thinks why he did not get the opportunity to carry on his managerial career after being sacked by JR, someone who gave him the biggest budget in the clubs history.

I’m surprised he’s not had another job to be honest, but seems focused on his new role now.

I don’t think that’s what he was saying, he was talking about himself personally.

Edit : sorry yes, he did say what Dan said just before the part I heard.

I suppose he’s right as JR obviously never took any interest in building the best training facilities in the lower leagues. He hasn’t looked at plans for a hotel or looked to improve the fan experience by investing in Sandy’s or improving the 1861 and Kevin Bird suites. He hasn’t had the car parks resurfaced or looked at numerous other ways to raise income for the club.

It just shows how shallow Flitcroft actually is.

I’m not and clearly his reputation has gone before him finally. You can only get so far with big words and bluster. Once your true colours shine you’re in trouble when you’re that sort of character.

The best midfielder seen at the Mill since Gordon Hodgson.

Just watched 1st half of Colchester v Gillingham. Two assists/goal involvements for Alex MacDonald (cross and corner). He also played last week against Hartlepool. Good to see him finding some form. Oli Hawkins hardly touched the ball. Gillingham were trying to aim for him with long throws from Robbie McKenzie. Noah Chilvers was the best Col U player looking more like Matt Jay than Matt Jay.

Not a lot happened in the 2nd half. 1st half was better. George Lapslie came on as a sub in 73rd minute. There was one flick on by Hawkins to Lapslie which was stopped by Connor Hall but they did very little.

Yes, Ben was that good. The knack he had with finding space just outside the penalty area and shooting at goal and scoring.

He is still doing it for Preston this season.
