We can’t sell him to anyone now he’s named in the line up. Well we can but they can’t play him.

I think Clough confirmed he had to actually be part of the actual game to count. The laws clearly state "play" so he can still sign for another club, unless he comes off the bench, then it's Walsall or a foreign club whose season starts around now (runs calendar year not Aug-May like ours)

We can. Walsall. So ironically this strengthens Walsall’s hand.

Can't we still sell him to Walsall ?

Since he has apparently turned down Colchester and Hartlepool maybe there are no other interested parties, ( apart from Walsall ). So makes sense to involve him.

Didn’t Clough say in his midweek interview that Johnson has to come on to the field of play? If he is an unused sub, we can still sell him to another club as well as Walsall.

No acknowledgement of the crowd from DJ who were singing his name when he warmed up, unless I missed it.

I think the priority in the transfer window for us now is a left back due to Macca's injury, even though Wallace did OK.

Yes, Wallace showed his versatility today but he is too slow to be starting at full back.

We do need someone in before the window closes, Macca's one injury after another must be of concern for Nigel.

No I don't think there was. I heard some boos but not sure if they were aimed at him, or if they were even from our fans

I’d be amazed if he ever plays for us again. No acknowledgment at all.

He was never going to come on today and reduce his transfer options, personally and for the club, with 3 days of the window left and leave him and ourselves hoping on Walsall. If he's still here next week then it's a different story.

How he never celebrated with the lads , walked off with head down hands in pockets said to me he is off.
Any manager in the 1st or 2nd getting a 15 goal scorer back would put them straight in. NC saying Swan was ahead of him says a lot.

DJ looked like he wanted to just get out of the One call

I really hope that we have a replacement for him or this could bite NC in the arse

A replacement for someone who hasn't played a game all season?

We don’t need him. Swan is a better goalscorer IMO. If he doesn’t want to be here then get rid.

Totally agree with this and hope we can sign Swan permanently in the summer

I agree, but we definitely need another forward as we've lost Laps and Hawkins and replaced them with 3 defensive minded players. Selling DJ should allow us to bring in a decent quality forward.

Apparently we have been tracking Jayden Stockley for some time but his £7k per week wages are a bit of a problem.

On what basis is swan a better goalscorer, that’s a silly comment. Swans a good player of the bench and been impactful of the bench. But Dj is evidently the better player Ie why he’s scored more this season. What a stupid comment.

Has Swan not got a better goals per minute ratio than Danny Johnson this season?

Johnson averages a goal every 145 minutes this season. Swan averages a goal every 125 minutes. Swan also possesses genuine pace to threaten teams in behind and in the channels, whereas Danny Johnson offers pretty much nothing apart from his poaching (can’t run, doesn’t hold the ball up particularly well, isn’t going to win any headers etc).

If it was up to me, I’d sell Johnson and use his wages and transfer fee on a quality player elsewhere on the pitch.
