A very nice gesture to donate if you want to.

He does a brilliant job and all these underhanded comments may come back and bite you
It’s rumoured that he is thinking of taking his drum and following Forest as he is fed up of it all

what's your point?

my point is that one does not preclude the other.
we all decide where to spend our cash, and in the grand scheme of things, giving to a food bank would be more appreciated than any of the things i mentioned, but i can, and do, do both.
and whilst jr might not need the few quid we raised, it was more a gesture of thanks for all he has done than a realistic attempt to raise £50k.
its easy enough to profess on here that one is grateful for all jr has done for the club, quite another to actually cough up some dosh to prove it.

In addition, it’s unethical to raise money for a named purpose, then change your mind once people have donated.
Should the club choose to donate that cash elsewhere once it’s received, is a matter for them of course.
Why not start an appeal for food banks if you feel that strongly, I’m sure you’d get donations.
