Why the hell do we inconvenience our own fans at full time instead of holding the away fans back for a while like everyone else...

Before the game is completely bonkers. There will be disabled Grimsby fans parking in the club car park, are they going to send them the long way round? Also what about disabled Stags fans who get dropped off at the retail park because it’s not as far to walk? It’s a complete raspberryshow.

I stopped going to Field Mill last year for a number of reasons. But right near the top is just this ridiculous lack of any common sense.

Closing this gate meant an extra 10 minute walk to take an elderly relative home to near Victoria Street. He had just had enough.

Then don't get me started on the all-ticket fiasco.

Most on here seem to either support this nonsense or at best turn a blind eye.

My disabled relative struggles to walk a long way so gets dropped off in the retail park. This is a joke to close it before the game as well.

The most famous gate in England. Closed today BTW. Maybe we could get a 24 hour cam on it. No-one knows who holds the keys.

We know it's going to be closed for goodness sake, the only time anything needs posting is when it will be open after a game.

Obviously the risk of trouble tomorrow is going to be unimaginable, the deep seated hate between us and the Barrow fans goes back a long way, so long I can't actually remember any in my 40+ years of following The Stags.

This has 'jobsworth' written all over it or maybe 'justification' for our annual contribution to policing costs.

It's been said before many times but this is an absolute farse.

It will all come to a head when there is a major incident on Quarry Lane. That is getting very crowded on the pavement at the end of a match and getting harder to walk down the road. Also with cars moving up and down Quarry Lane it is only a matter of time before somebody gets knocked over.

Also many away fans park off Quarry Lane and they are often walking against the flow up Quarry Lane.

I know it has been said before but if it is a concern then why not keep the away fans in the ground for a few minutes?

It has been mentioned earlier in the thread about people with mobility problems who want to be picked up in the car park or even to have a shorter walk back to the bus station or railway station. I guess that some of them are now picked up on Quarry Lane which adds to the congestion there.

Looking back there were 190 from Barrow last season.

Very surprised it is not locked before the match as well with that amount of support!

To be fair it hasn't, all the other times people have said, 'it's an absolute farce'. :D

Even better lock it with our own padlock and give all fans a master key.
