Who is travelling furthest to Wembley

Postby part time pete » Fri May 20, 2022 9:19 pm

We know Johnny Rotten can see the Wembley arch from his office and it is just a tube journey for him, but anybody travelling more than the 140 mile from Mansfield

Florida, USA. Came over for the last league game against Forest Green. Went to both legs against Northampton.
Got my ticket for Wembley. As a Stags fan where else would you want to be?

Home to Wembley 20 miles e/w, zone 6 SE London/Kent into London and out t'other side.

Not so simple as a single tube but typically like any trip across London 'it's about an hour'.

A short train ride from Hemel Hempstead to Wembley Central for me. A safe and enjoyable trip to all of you long distance travellers. Showing my age now as that was an album by the Moddy Blues (and not a good one).

I would imagine that would be my daughter, she is flying in on Saturday morning stopping in travelodge in Wembley on Saturday night and then catching a flight back at 10 am on Sunday morning. She has to be at work on Monday.

I am just so proud that I have brought her up right.

I also have another daughter and my 5 year old grandson travelling in from Swindon.

It will be his first Stags game a bit like his mum whose first game was Wembley in 1987.

About 12 miles as the crow flies from NE to NW London.
You've got to go there and come back, to know where you've been.
