goal line technology will be in place for both legs, as it was against Newport 3 years ago.

that would be ironic after the Carlisle and Swindon games. That said, no-one can complain more about injustices than Northampton after last weekend.

I wont lie, nervous about this one, this team deserve the credit a play off final would bring, they deserve that day out, they have been outstanding since October and have faced many injuries and suspensions. Our momentum dropped a little with the away games we had but I still think over 2 legs this team can beat anyone in this league.

We need our experience lads to get on the ball, calm us right down, Perch, Quinn, Murphy.

If we can take a 2-0 lead that I would be very confident in the second leg, anything less and it will be a tough watch for us.

Some of them do come across like whiney pussies that's for sure.

Horrible message board too.

Calling us scabs. How original.

I can see this being decided by penalties in the end.
Either that, or Danny Rose getting O'Toole sent off with a dive and scoring the pen that beats us!

Don't care how we play, please let's just do this.

A 1 - 0 home win and a cagey 1 -1 at their place.

Why do you feel that Northampton were on the receiving end of injustices last weekend? Scunthorpe played an almost identical side the week before when they drew with Hartlepool.

A 17 year old, who looked about 12, in goal, whose attempts to save the goals was feeble. When they had a decent experienced keeper on the bench. One of the other 17 year olds who played was released on Monday. So what was the point of that other than putting out as weak a side as possible?

Or were they giving the 17 year old the chance to earn a contract?

With one game? I highly doubt it.

Agree on the keeper, it was like someone had told him to try and let the ball go in

If Scunny had played their first team Brizzle would probably have put just as many past them

It probably wouldn’t have been one game though. The decision could have been in the balance and they wanted to give the lad a last chance in a game that meant nothing to them. A 17 year old is hardly going to cost a fortune in wages and the decision could have been which youngster they let go and which one got the last place.

It was the same keeper they used the week before when they drew 1-1 with Hartlepool. This was hardly a weakened team used exclusively just for the last game of the season. Northampton only have themselves to blame for not pushing on to improve their score when they heard the goals were raining in at The Memorial Ground.
