George Miller played well against the Stags. 12 goals in League 2 is not garbage. We did not have a player who got into double figures. Walsall fans seemed to love him in the 1st half of the season. Said he ran around like a mad man so would fit Nigel Clough's work ethic.

You get the impression though that Nigel Clough is looking at players from League 1 and above.

Davis Keillor-Dunn wouldn’t be a bad shout. 15 goals for Oldham last season from attacking mid mainly but seems quite versatile.

The three that stick out to me (who would be realistic) are Verdaune Oliver, Charles Vernham and Lee Molyeux.

He was also at Derby County as a young lad when Nigel Clough was there. He was signed for Burton by Jake Buxton after Nigel Clough had stepped down.

Not under NC.

NC did sign him for Derby though as a 16 year old where he was tipped to be the next Michael Owen.

I'd be happy enough with him but if we're talking ex Burton players think we'd get better value out of either Joe Sbarra (playing off the front man) or even Ben Fox a central midfielder who can do a job at right back.

Outside of Brayford who might still choose to end his career at Burton, I don't see too many options for former NC players unless Scott Fraser fancies a drop to League 2 and Nige forgives the way he left Burton.

I also wonder if we don't get the Bish back whether Teddy Sharman Lowe might be ready for League football and a season loan from Chelsea. It would be a risk but he's very highly thought of.

It's the first season in ages I don't have a clue who they may be looking at.

Exciting and intriguing summer ahead.
