Adam Phillips is a very good midfield player who played in League 2 for Morecambe.

I thought that was what the other football forum was for. I don’t really care that some non league two stuff bleeds onto these threads but it appears others do.

Swindon had clearly already spent the McKirdy money on Luke Jephcott much earlier in the day as his signing on photos are in daylight. They were just waiting for the McKirdy deal to go through to confirm it. Hibs then started playing silly buggers trying to re-negotiate the McKirdy deal after agreeing terms. I wonder if Swindon had to drop their asking price. Could they have afforded Jephcott without McKirdy leaving?

Swindon Town Technical Director, Sandro Di Michele, said: “I’m absolutely over the moon to get a player of Luke’s calibre into the club. Time constraints have meant we’ve only been able to get him in on loan for now, but we have an option to make the deal permanent which was our original plan, so having this in place is key for us. Luke is a top player with an exceptional goalscoring record in League One, as well as being a natural penalty box finisher, so the deal is a big one for the football club.”

"Hibernian have signed former Swindon Town striker Harry McKirdy on a three-year contract just hours after a deal for the 25-year-old reportedly fell through. In the dying embers of deadline day, talks between Town and Hibs - over the amount and structure of the transfer payment - were said to have broken down after one of the clubs attempted to change some of the details. But after a cooling-down period, both sides sat around the table again to strike up an agreeable contract and McKirdy was able to depart the County Ground for an undisclosed fee a little over a year after he arrived."

"Bradford pipped former boss Derek Adams to bring back Dion Pereira. Adams, who took the winger to Valley Parade in January but never got the chance to see him play, wanted him on loan at Morecambe. It is understood that Sheffield Wednesday and Bristol Rovers were also keen on the Luton man and there was League Two interest from Swindon and Mansfield. Pereira’s deadline-day return was the final action of a hectic transfer window for the Bantams, who also brought in speedy Aston Villa wide man Tyreik Wright yesterday."

Dion Periera must have been on our list of 30 players.

Tippy Tappy Football wrote:"West Brom have agreed a deal with Salford City for striker Brandon Thomas-Asante. Birmingham thought they were in pole position for the 24-year-old but Thomas-Asante has chosen to join West Brom, who have agreed to meet the £300,000 buy-out clause. Thomas-Asante had 10 months left on his Salford contract. It is understood West Brom have also agreed to a sell-on clause as part of the deal."

Scored on his debut in the 98th minute to earn a point against Burnley last night.

This is a nice story. Jay Stansfield joins Exeter from Fulham

https://twitter.com/OfficialECFC/status ... Wx8ZQ&s=19

Jay Stansfield's dad died of cancer aged 31 while an Exeter player & the club retired his No9 shirt.

Now they've given it to his lad.
Facts do not cease to exist because they are ignored.

"Port Vale can confirm that defender Chris Hussey has joined Stockport County following the mutual termination of his contract at Vale Park."

They have also handed Irish trialist Daniel Okwute, 19, a contract until 2024 with an optional extra year. Irish U19s league top scorer Okwute has signed from Irish side Kerry FC for an undisclosed fee. (Thanks Dave)

I was surprised Stockport had not signed anybody on deadline day.

"Walsall have signed attacking midfielder Jacob Maddox (23). He recently left Portuguese side Vitoria Sport Clube and joins on a one-year deal. He began his career at Bristol City before moving to Chelsea. He was a regular for the Blues in their Under 18s and Under 21s where he played in Premier League 2. In 2018, he signed for Cheltenham Town on loan in League Two as he got his first taste of senior football."

Cheltenham Town 2018-2019 - 29(9) league apps and 1 goal.

I’m guessing he’ll be a replacement for Moult. He was one of the better known players available. McNulty is probably the stand out name of free agents but it’s a few years since he was scoring goals for fun at Coventry and that was his only prolific season.

Nathan Delfouneso. Shows how poor the free transfer market is when he’s getting a League 1 move.

Lee Tomlin has left Donny and retired from professional football

The 33-year-old last week received treatment for an injury complaint and, after little improvement to his condition, informed the club that he could not continue his playing career. “In the last month, just waking up and taking the amount of painkillers I’ve had to take has got too much,” he said. “I want to play football for as long as I possibly can but it’s just too much on my body every day and it’s grinding me down. You just have to be honest with yourself. I have days when I can’t pick my daughter up for more than two minutes because of my hip or my back. It’s not a way of living and not a way I want to live. If it was with any other club in the summer other than Doncaster, I’d have probably just called it a day then. There was a bond that I felt at the club and it was the reason I did want to sign. It meant a lot to me. I’m going to miss it.”

8(1) league apps and 1 goal for Donny

377(131) league apps in total and 99 goals
