9 man Colchester

Shamal George (Gk) for violent conduct and Luke Chambers (CB) for a serious foul, so if they both get 3-match bans they will miss the game at Field Mill a week on Tuesday.

Shamal George will be banned against us. That's good, he was brilliant against us earlier in the season.
The defender Chambers won't be. He will get a one game ban only for denying a goalscoring opportunity (last man).

Luke Chambers was initially recorded as a serious foul on the live text. If it was just for bringing down the last man then I agree it is one match ( plus an extra one for his second dismissal of the season) It does look like he took the forward down with an arm to his neck so it could be serious foul play. It depends what the referee reports it as.

Let's also give a little thanks to the young apprentice for the careful, measured way he's cared for t'fred. His power grows stronger.

I found the post match interview with Col.U assistant manager Joe Dunne on BBC Essex. He talked about the sub keeper being very young. So I would fully expect them to bring in a loan keeper.

In very windy conditions that made playing football a lottery team work and effort gave us the win and a record we can now put behind us it done we move on.
Hawkins and OToole kept their aerial threat at bay and we were the better team, another good all round display when football was difficult in the windy conditions.
Looking at the bench Perch, Akins, Johnson, Nartey, Wallace, Law, with Lapslie and Gordon to come , yes they are record breakers
