Fantastic result, the grit and effort to get through the second half were something else.

These are the kind of games you look back and say "those three points made the difference" at the end of the season.

I know we’ve played better football at times but the performance from the sending off onwards, to hold on and then get another was just very impressive.
Bowery immense. The guy just keeps going - he’s tracking, pressing and then he goes and gets the goal as well. You could see how pleased he was in the celebration.
I like the look of Akins in the short time he was on.

Very proud and happy Stag tonight. Feared the worst when we went down to 10 but what a great result. Well done all involved. COYS

BBC Cumbria Post Match Reaction

Mark Cooper - "The difference between the two teams was that they had big uncompromising centre backs that wanted to head the ball. We had centre backs who did not want to head the ball."

"Ollie Banks must be thinking what the hell am I doing staying at Barrow. He could have joined some big clubs."

"It's been a rubbish day"

Tippy Tappy Football wrote:BBC Cumbria pundit praising Rhys Oates (a real nuisance all game), Stephen McLaughlin (quality balls down the left for Rhys Oates to win and go direct/sweet strike for his goal/quality free kick) and Jordan Bowery (ran back and defended well and bullied his way through the Barrow defence to score third).

Barrow fan phoning in saying Oates was lively all game and Bowery was big and strong and filling in at right back in 2nd half.

Pundit also praised Stirk and Commented that Lapslie was a good replacement for Maris who had a very good game . But my favourite comment was after the third goal , I knew he was going to put an inch perfect cross in and I’m sat up here , why didn’t they know that and defend it better ?

I'm beginning to believe, but still lots of tough games ahead, but we are in the right part of the table!
Well done everybody! Gutted I decided not to go now as I could have got a ticket on the day! How many did we take?
And is it a record the 7 wins in a row?

I think it was Martin who said the record was 7, so we've equalled it

A really good and well deserved win and what a battling performance.

This shows we can do it away as well as at home and any team in the league would have been proud of that performance. If the other teams aren’t concerned they should be.

Well done to everyone involved, time for a good week’s training and reorganising as we push on next week.

What a team this is, I’ve never seen a team so adaptable and flexible to the formations they are being asked to do. Proven quality of players, that can play in a number of positions.

Brilliant from Nigel today.

Rating 10 for Nigel Clough today. Huge and brilliant three points at a place where other sides may find it difficult. Just ask Swindon Town.

Absolutely fantastic 3 points today, showed real battling quality again in difficult circumstances…

Thought we might crumble under a lot of barrow pressure… although they didn’t really manage to “turn the screw”

As others have said 3 points against orient and I might just start to believe! :mtfc:
