Saddlers Scorefred Sponsored by Let The Second Half Begin

Postby STAGS FOR LIFE » Wed Jan 12, 2022 8:44 am

:) Now we have got the first half of the season over with we enter the second half in a really good place .

Confidence high , scoring goals and winning Games.
This as come because this squad have kept there feet on the ground and worked as one together.

We must carry this on going into the second half of the season and get 50 points on the board then hopefully push on into play off places and challenge near the top of the league :)

Step one 15 points away. Two months ago I was struggling to see us safely on that first step by the end of the season. Time for Kirkby Stag to do an update on his PPG thread.

It's not hard to get from Walsall to Mansfield. After Port Vale we must be the closest side?

Pretty poor ticket sales given we aren't a million miles away.

I see we are top of the form charts at home but only 16th away. We need to keep winning at home but we also need to pick it up on the road. Unfortunately we play the second best home side away next. Would be a massive statement of intent to beat the Vegans

We've got a funny habit of beating them away don't we? Wasn't Nigels first win there when they were top and we were near the bottom

Confident it'll be the same. Away fans will make more noise than the home fans

Rollin's return. He had an absolute stinker against Stevenage. At fault for 2 of their 3 goals and was very lucky not to have a pen given against him after giving the ball away and then fouling his man. We need Oatsy to run at him.

They buy tickets on the day at the north stand kiosk which does not have cashless facilities.

Gonna be decent turnout from t'Saddlers fans. But then again they aren't a tupenny half penny outfit like Slaford.

Could do with a win here with us having so many Away games coming up, if we start how we did on Tuesday then I would expect a comfortable win.

Doubt they will have the numbers or noise we took to Walsall mind.

6 wins in a row at home, hopefully make it 7.

I worked out we won 10 in a row at home promotion season.

FGR - L
Barrow - W
Harrogate - W
Bristol Rovers - W
Newport - L
Bradford - D

10/18 possible. Or am I being too optimistic? Barrow and Bristol Rovers are pretty poor and Harrogate are in poor form.

I’d be very happy with that as a run of results. 10 points from 6 games gets you promoted over a season.

Walsall
Leyton Orient
Colchester
Exeter
Stevenage

I'd be looking at 4/5 wins to be honest.

Our last 3 will be extremely testing:

Northampton
Sutton
